Writing is how I tell my story, it is how I release all the pent up emotions, it is how I convey to others the ideas that permeate my brain. Writing is my way of processing all the input I get through the day. Writing is how I best communicate my thoughts and ideas. The days that I find words that fully express the ideas that I want to share are days that I treasure. The days that I cannot find words to express my ideas are exceedingly frustrating. It seems odd that one day the words can flow and the next none will go together coherently makes no sense, but it is very much a reality. It is one of the reasons that I decided to take this challenge to write everyday for 31 days. My goal major goal is to share my journey and hopefully encourage others. I also want to see if I can find a way to understand how the words in my brain work, how to get them to come out and make sense on a regular basis. I am on day 12 and I am still working on that goal.
The more I write and talk to those who write the more convinced I am that writing is healing for most people. Whether you are writing in a journal or writing a blog, being honest about your circumstances and your feelings surrounding those circumstances has a way of enhancing the good and relieving the bad. The more you write the easier it is to see that stopping the words from spinning around in your brain by putting them on paper helps the writer to release negative emotions. It doesn’t even take that many words which has been proven by the sheer number of people who participate in these Five Minute prompts. Thank you for taking the time to read my words. It means so very much to me.
