Gratitude – Day 5 – Abundance Last night, in the process of looking for an item of clothing, I decided to clean out my chest of drawers. I struggle to find room for my clothing in my dresser and my closet. Everything is always packed full to overflowing. When I had finished taking out clothes that either no longer fit or that I don’t even like, four out of my five drawers were completely empty. Completely. Empty. Which means that time I spent looking for places to put my clothes was ... read more
Day Four – Gratitude – The Way God Works
Day 4 – Grateful – The Way God Works This is my third attempt at writing what I am grateful for today. When God originally gave me this idea, I wrote an outline for what I would write about each day. Much like myself, I don’t think they could have ever guessed how hard it would be to have a child. I took a course in babysitting at 13 and then as soon as I could started watching any child I could. I continued to babysit and work with kids throughout my college years. I graduated with a degree in special education and elementary education. I taught in a classroom ... read more
Gratitude – Hope for the Heart
Last November found me in deep canyon of depression. I had been there for quite some time and exhausted from the sheer weight of darkness pressing in on me, not to mention the numerous ways and times I had tried to pull myself out of that abyss. I chose to follow The Loved Bible Project in their monthly devotional because I receive immense joy from putting a Loved Bible together. My hope was that by reading something everyday and spending some time investing in a Loved Bible, I would begin to ... read more
